At Ada Budrick Learning Center we strive to provide a safe, secure and comfortable environment in which each child can grow socially, cognitively, physically and emotionally. We prepare our children for kindergarten by helping them build the skills they will need to succeed in school not just socially but academically as well.
We try to maintain an atmosphere in which arbitrary grouping by age or gender and excessive restrictions on the children’s movement or activities are avoided as much as possible. Each child may choose among the various planned activities offered and free play materials available throughout the day.
Our goal is providing a safe learning environment while the children discover at their own pace; creating friendships and academic readiness for years to come.
Learning at Ada Budrick Learning Center
Experienced staff use the creative curriculum as well as developmentally appropriate learning experiences that allow for fun through guided exploration and creative expression.
Staff partners with parents to offer sensitive and appropriate care in a program designed to support the unique needs of each child.
Literacy, math, and science skills begin early, as do sharing and caring.
When our little ones learn and play together, sensitivity and appreciation for diversity, self-confidence and self-esteem flourish. Ada Budrick seeks to build a real sense of community so that, in time, the children will come to realize the role they can play in reshaping the world they live in. Under the Greater Morristown YMCA umbrella, the center continues its forty year tradition of evolving to reflect the changing needs of children and their families
Our child to staff ratios are small.
We spend time with each child, each day, ready to seize a learning moment, just as you would at home. Our challenge is to encourage independence and an ability to participate in a group while responding to the uniqueness of each child.
